Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy upon him] answers:
“The Night of Isrāʾ is superior in regards to the Prophet [praise and security be upon him] whilst the Night of Qadr is superior in regards to the Ummah. So the Prophet’s share with which he was distinguished on the Night of Miʿrāj is more complete and perfect than his share of the Night of Qadr.
The share of the Ummah in the Night of Qadr is more complete and perfect than their share of the Night of Miʿrāj. Even though their share in it is the greatest share however, the virtue, honour and highest rank only occurred therein for the one who was taken on a journey by night [praise and security be upon him].”
